Niall’s Art set for Hong Kong show in May

I’m really buzzing with the news that my art will feature in the AAF Hong Kong, 17-19 May 2019, with the Sol Gallery. This will be my second time showing in Hong Kong with the first time, which was a huge success, back in 2015.

Launching my first series of Limited Edition Prints ... !!

I am thrilled to release my very first limited edition print series on the simply gorgeous archival Hahnemuhle paper, produced by the Copper House Gallery in Dublin. The new prints will be available on my webstore here on from Friday 9th November 2018. I am particularly thrilled with how the Copper House Gallery have captured the three dimensional presentation of the squares, retaining that sense of an opportunity to ‘capture a positive moment’.

Niall's Globe in support of #GoalWhatOnEarth

Great news. My globe ‘Planet Colour’ is now on the Goal What On website. This certainly was a tough one ... but it’s great to work with different shapes and materials and ... to be supporting a great cause that is GOAL.

Niall supports New York's Art Therapy Project

For the third year in a row, I’m really delighted to support New York’s The Art Therapy Project by donating a painting. This year they asked me to paint a small canvas 12.5 x 12.5cm (5 x5 in), which I painted in my stripe style and have called it ‘Insight’. Big shoutout to my framer Ger Boylan of The Picture Framing Place in #Skerries, who threw in the really nice frame 'for the cause' ...!

Huge Crowd for exhibition by acclaimed local artist Niall Leavy

by Claire Corrigan, Westmeath Topic. The Chimera Gallery was packed to capacity on Saturday night, 1st September, for the opening of acclaimed local artist Niall Leavy’s stunning new collection of paintings. Niall Leavy has built a strong reputation, nationally and internationally for his very distinctive vibrant and uplifting small squares. Over the last four years in particular his art has gone down a storm at international shows in major cities around the world including Milan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Stockholm, Edinburgh, a number of times in London, twice in New York City and at the prestigious SOFA exhibition in Chicago.

Invitation to Niall's solo, opening 1st September 2018

I’m thrilled to be having my next solo show in the wonderful Chimera Gallery in my hometown of Mullingar. I’ve been showing my work there for the last number of years in the wonderful Chimera Gallery, but this will be my very first solo show in Mullingar.  I’ll have a selection of my new work on show as well as some beautiful new ‘small squares’ paintings.

Niall's art features in Irish Times hockey homecoming video

Well this goes down as ‘one of those moments’. Swept up, like so many, with the euphoria surrounding the huge achievement of the women’s Irish hockey team, and I get a message to have a look at an Irish Times video on the homecoming reception in Dublin airport. To say I was ecstatic to see my art ‘play a support role in the background’ doesn’t even touch it.

SAVE THE DATE … Niall’s 4th Solo Show Saturday 1st Sept 2018

I’m excited and thrilled to confirm Saturday 1st September as the opening night of my solo show in the wonderful Chimera Gallery in my hometown of Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

New Work - New Line

I am so thrilled to release the first images of a new style I have been working on over the last few months. I could feel an inner push to create a new, distinctive, modern and vibrant style, and after much time experimenting in the studio, I'm really thrilled with the result.

Sol Art Gallery - on the move ..!!

The Sol Art Gallery is embarking on a new and exciting chapter, and is moving in February 2018 from Dawson Street to the landmark old Irish Times Building on D’Olier Street, just metres from O’Connell Bridge in the centre of Dublin.

It looks like it could be a really interesting move, with a fabulous purpose built gallery space and a location that has the hallmarks of what could be the emergence of a new fashion & culture quarter.
