INCOGNITO - Art for €50 and all for Jack & Jill Foundation

I am thrilled and honoured to have two paintings in the mix for this years Jack & Jill Children's Foundation Art fundraising event. And this year the idea is quite different ... 1500 miniature pieces of artwork (postcard size), will be displayed for sale in the Solomon Gallery in Dublin (beside the Westbury Hotel) from Friday 21st April to Tuesday 25th April, and each one is available for €50 on a first come first served basis ...!! And the twist is ...

The artist's names, some very well known and collectable, will remain 'incognito' until the card is purchased and the artists signature is revealed on the back. As the organisers say, you'd never know, you might end up with something worth €10,000 .. !!

I have two pieces in the mix and I'm really thrilled with how they turned out, but of course I can't show images of the two pieces at his stage ...!! Any ideas as to what they might look like ..?? :-)

The live exhibition is open to the public from Friday the 21st of April at 10am until Tuesday 25th April at 5pm in the Solomon Gallery, just off Grafton Street and beside the Westbury Hotel. The opening hours at the Solomon are:

  • Friday 21st April 10am to 7pm
  • Saturday 22nd April 10am to 5pm
  • Sunday 23rd April 11am to 5pm
  • Monday 24th April 10am to 5pm
  • Tuesday 25th April TBC

Each piece of art will be available for purchase on those days (first-come first-served) for a miniature price of €50. The idea here is to make it  as easy as possible to buy a piece of art that you love, and at the same time help provide home nursing care for very sick babies.

PLEASE NOTE: The postcards purchased on first day of the exhibition - Friday the 21st April - will NOT be available to take away until 7pm on the Friday evening (or you can have them posted to you for a small fee).

If you are interested in a particular piece but you wont be able to attend the Solomon Gallery, you can place an Expression of Interest on the website at and the great team running the show will contact you by email if it is still available after the live exhibition.

Please spread the word re this fabulous initiative and if you are in Dublin over the weekend, please pop into the Solomon Gallery to see the spectacular selection, and you'd never know ... you may walk away with one or two pieces of original art that you really love ... !!

Enjoy ...
