Niall’s Art set for Hong Kong show in May

I’m really buzzing with the news that my art will feature in the AAF Hong Kong, 17-19 May 2019, with the Sol Gallery. This will be my second time showing in Hong Kong with the first time, which was a huge success, back in 2015.

I was thrilled to get the news from the Sol that my art was in the mix for the show in May. After a really busy couple of months in the studio, I was delighted to drop off a selection of 12 pieces to the Sol last weekend for shipping Hong Kong.

It’s a real honour to be presenting my work with a fabulous mix of other Irish artists and a number of international artists who the Sol Gallery represent.

I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to showcase my work there and see what the reaction is. I will have a selection of my distinctive small square paintings along side a number of my 'Stripe paintings'. I have introduced a new twist to my small square paintings. Building on the move towards coloured and patterned backgrounds, i have a number of paintings with a gorgeous background featuring full coverage of the canvas with 22 carat gold leaf.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to the following people for their support in helping to create different aspects of the work I have created for the Hong Kong show:

  • David Skinner - Wallpaper in Ireland 1700 - 1900, Churchill House Press, 2014
  • Ian Crawford - Stitch It Brand It, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin
  • Fergal Walsh, Print Solutions, Western Industrial Estate, Dublin 12
  • Ger Boylan, The Picture Framing Place, Skerries, Co. Dublin
  • Brede & Grace MacNally and David Duffy, MacNally Joinery Ltd., Lusk, Co. Dublin
  • Dan Heath, The Power of Moments, Chip & Dan Heath, Random House, 2017

Stay tuned for updates between now and the middle of May.
